The Vision

Rooted in Legacy. Rising in Unity.

The North Hartford Cultural District (NHCD) is a cultural and economic revival rooted in Hartford’s Black arts, stories, and creative legacy. Our mission is to preserve, promote, and invest in the living culture of our community — by supporting artists, activating spaces, and elevating local voices.

Whether you’re an artist, entrepreneur, educator, or neighbor — we need you now more than ever.
